Write a Book
This is perhaps the ultimate way to build your reputation as a thought leader. Think of all the thought leaders you look up to and admire right now; the vast majority of them have written at least one book. So if you want to join their ranks, the first thing you have to do is decide what your book will be about. Write a book that breaks new ground in your industry. You don’t have to write the next Harry Potter or Fifty Shades of Grey, but you do need to write something that has never been done before. Once you have your book written, make sure you’re marketing it as effectively as possible. Get your book listed on Amazon, and make it as easy as possible for readers to find it. Get your book reviewed by reputable publications, and ask your biggest fans to leave reviews for you too.

Ask for testimonials from clients
Another great way to build your authority and reputation as a thought leader is to ask your clients for testimonials. This is something that’s often done after a client has completed a project or a service, but that doesn’t mean you can’t do it before. You may be surprised by how many clients are willing to give you a testimonial before they’ve even received the finished product, or before they’ve ever even worked with you. When clients are feeling happy and satisfied, they’re more likely to want to share their experience with others. And if you’re their go-to resource or expert in your field, they may be especially keen to share their thoughts with other people.
Becoming a thought leader is no easy task. It requires a lot of hard work and dedication. You have to develop expertise in your field and become an expert in your field. You have to write blog posts, speak at events, write a book, podcasts, and ask for testimonials from clients. All of these will help you become a thought leader.
